A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Waterbury, CT. This contract position spans a full academic semester, offering valuable experience in elementary and middle school environments across 2-3 buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support to students within elementary and middle school caseloads
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized student plans
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district standards
- Assist with screening and interventions under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current active SLPA license in Connecticut is required
- Prior school-based experience working with K-12 students is essential
- Compliance with district fingerprinting and background checks is mandatory
- Credentialed candidates will receive hiring preference
- Upfront licenses are advantageous to the hiring process
